The Bert & Betty books and Audio Book CDs are children's stories about the boat people who lived and worked  on England's canals in the 19th century.  There are currently 5 stories, which include "Spring Morning" (in which Ben gets lost but is then the hero), "Stop Thief!" (in which a little boy is found hiding in Bella's hold) and "Betty's Birthday" (in which Beauty going lame turns out to be the best thing that could have happended for all of them!).  The companion picture dictionary "Waterways Words" illustrates and explains the boating terms used in the stories.
